Gil Dickinson is a printmaker living and working in Baltimore, Maryland.
They received their BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art where they studied printmaking and served as the coordinator of Dolphin Press and Print, the university's collaborative press. Here, they developed an interest in lithography and the history of collaborative print in the United States. Gil has shown in galleries across the country, recently exhibiting in Lincoln, Nebraska, as well as locally in Baltimore. Originally from South Florida, Gil grew up observing the consequences of human intervention in the landscape, inspiring much of the work they do today. Their practice deals with themes of ecology, death, and permanence, which they convey through depictions of birds, invasive species, and environmental features.
